Terms of service

Last updated 15 October 2026

1. Who we are and who these terms are for

These terms are an agreement between Axccelerate Pte. Ltd., trading as booqwell (“booqwell”, “we”), and the business that subscribes to booqwell (“the salon”, “you”).

booqwell provides online booking pages, a front-desk console, checkout, client messages, an AI assistant for staff, and connections to card processors and calendars. The person who accepts these terms confirms they can bind the salon.

The salon’s clients do not accept these terms. Their information is covered by booqwell’s privacy policy and by the salon’s own policies.

2. Your account

  • Owners and staff. The salon’s owner decides who has access and what role each person has (owner, manager, front desk, specialist). The salon is responsible for what its staff do in booqwell.
  • Sign-in. Keep sign-in details private and tell us at once if you think an account has been misused. Staff who leave should be deactivated.
  • Support access. To help with a problem, booqwell support may open your console. Every such session and every change made in it is logged.
  • Accurate details. Keep your business, location and billing details current; they appear on your booking pages, client messages and invoices.

3. Plans, price and usage charges

The price is per location, per month, in US dollars, as shown on the salon’s subscription page when it subscribes. Each added location is another subscription.

  • AI assistant. Each salon’s subscription includes 300 assistant questions a month, across all its locations. Questions beyond that cost 2 cents each, only if the owner has raised the salon’s monthly overage limit above $0, and never more than 300 extra questions a month. Overage is added to the next month’s invoice.
  • Text messages. Included in the subscription. A daily safety limit per salon (300 texts by default) stops runaway sending; texts over it wait an hour.
  • Changes to price. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of a price increase, by email to the owner.

4. Payment, renewal, taxes and refunds

  • Payment. Subscriptions are paid by card through Stripe, monthly in advance, and renew each month until cancelled. Invoices show the salon’s legal name and, if given, its tax ID.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will email the owner. If it is still unpaid 7 days later, we may pause the salon’s console and booking pages until it is paid; nothing is deleted while paused.
  • Taxes. Prices do not include sales tax or similar taxes, which are added where they apply.
  • Refunds. Monthly fees are not refunded for part of a month, except where the law requires or booqwell decides otherwise.

5. The salon’s responsibilities

booqwell sends messages and holds cards on the salon’s instructions, so the salon is responsible for having the right to do so.

  • Clients’ consent. The salon must have its clients’ permission for the texts and emails it sends through booqwell, and must not import contact lists it has no permission to use. booqwell records consent and stops texts when a client replies STOP; the salon must not work around that.
  • Marketing. Offers and news may go only to clients who agreed to receive them, within the hours and days the law of the salon’s state allows.
  • Its own text registration. In the US, business texting needs a registered brand and campaign. The salon provides accurate details for its registration and keeps its messages within the registered use.
  • Cards and charges. The salon sets its cancellation policy. It may charge a client’s card on file only as the client agreed when they left it: for their appointments at checkout, and for a late cancellation or a missed appointment as that policy, shown to the client, allows. Fees for a late cancellation or a missed appointment are charged only after an owner or manager approves them.
  • Its own privacy policy. The salon publishes a privacy policy for its clients that covers booqwell’s role, and answers its clients’ privacy requests, with booqwell’s help.
  • Its own records. The salon remains responsible for its tax, employment and payroll records; booqwell’s reports help but do not replace professional advice.

6. Your data

  • It is yours. The salon owns its business data and its clients’ information. booqwell processes it only to provide the service to the salon, on the salon’s instructions, as described in the privacy policy.
  • No selling, no advertising. booqwell does not sell salon or client data, use it to advertise, or use it to train AI models.
  • Kept apart and secure. Each salon’s data is separated from every other salon’s by the database itself, and protected as the privacy policy describes.
  • Getting a copy. Clients can download their own record from their client account. A salon that wants a copy of its data can ask us, and we will provide it in a common format.

7. Connected services

Some of booqwell works through other companies’ services.

  • Card processors. The salon has its own merchant account with a card processor (for example Clover). Money from clients goes to the salon, never through booqwell. The processor’s own agreement with the salon governs fees, payouts, chargebacks and disputes; booqwell is not a party to it and does not hold the salon’s funds.
  • Text and email delivery. booqwell sends texts and emails through providers such as Telnyx and Resend. Carriers and mailbox providers may delay, filter or block messages, and booqwell cannot guarantee delivery.
  • Calendar links. A salon can subscribe a calendar app to its booqwell calendar. That app then holds copies of appointments, including client names, under its own terms.

If a connected service stops working or changes its terms, booqwell may have to change or stop the connection.

8. AI features

The console’s AI assistant answers staff questions and can prepare changes to the salon’s settings and bookings.

  • A person confirms every change. The assistant proposes; nothing changes until someone at the salon confirms it.
  • Check what matters. AI answers can be wrong. Staff should check anything important before relying on it, such as a total, a client’s details or a booking time.
  • It stays inside booqwell. The assistant works only through booqwell’s own fixed tools. It cannot reach card processors, charge or refund anyone, or change booqwell’s software.
  • Provider. Answers are written by Anthropic’s models, which receive the question and what the assistant looked up, as the privacy policy describes.

9. Acceptable use

The salon must not use booqwell to:

  • send texts or emails to people who have not agreed to them, or keep messaging someone who has opted out;
  • send content that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or about products that carriers prohibit in business texts;
  • charge a client’s card other than as the client agreed and the salon’s policy allows;
  • break the law, including consumer-protection, privacy and messaging laws;
  • try to reach another salon’s data, test booqwell’s security without our written permission, or overload the service.

If a salon’s use puts clients, carriers or other salons at risk, booqwell may pause the affected feature (for example texting) and will tell the salon why.

10. Availability, changes and ending the service

  • Availability. We work to keep booqwell running at all times, but cannot promise it will never be interrupted, including for maintenance or problems at our providers.
  • Changes. booqwell improves over time. We will not remove a feature the salon relies on without reasonable notice.
  • Cancelling. The salon can cancel at any time; the subscription ends at the close of the paid month.
  • Ending by booqwell. We may end the service for a serious breach of these terms that is not fixed within 30 days of notice, or at once for unlawful use or for non-payment after the grace period.
  • After it ends. Booking pages and texts stop. For 30 days the salon can ask for a copy of its data. The salon can ask us to delete its data, and we will, except what the law requires us to keep; copies in rolling backups expire within about two months.

11. Liability, law and contact

  • Warranties. booqwell is provided as it is, without promises beyond those in these terms, as far as the law allows.
  • Limit of liability. booqwell’s total liability is limited to the fees the salon paid in the 12 months before the claim, and excludes lost profits and indirect losses, as far as the law allows.
  • Indemnity. The salon covers claims arising from messages it sends or cards it charges in breach of these terms.
  • Law and disputes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
  • Changes to these terms. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of material changes by email to the owner.
